Roles & Responsibilities

The Students' Council (SC) is the representative body of the entire student community of the Rawat College.

Student Council is the interface between the students and the administration and work together to identify and address concerns that affect the students directly and indirectly.

Student Council represents the interests of the students and participates in discussions and decisions that affect the student community

Student Council aims at the all round development of students and organize several extracurricular events throughout the year under various clubs of Departments.

Student Council also coordinates for the College events that are organized periodically.

Student Council is a part of Social Responsibilities activity.

ANTI RAGGING COMMITTEE

Say No to Ragging

Ragging is strictly banned in Rawat College. If anybody found indulged in such kind of activities, strict action will be taken irrespective of the extent. Ragging is banned by Supreme Court of India. In order to prevent such kind of activity in campus, an anti-ragging committee has been formed and brought into operation even before the start of 1st year classes by the Director/ Principal.

Ragging is neither a means of familiarization, nor an introduction with fresher’s, but a form of Psychopathic behavior. Ragging is a violation of Human Rights. Respect Humanitarian Values. Ragging is a heinous crime, heavily punishable under law. Ragging may spoil your career forever.

Following Acts with Fresher’s shall amount to Ragging

To force to address seniors as ‘Boss’.

To force to perform mass drills.

To force to copy class notes for the seniors.

To force to serve various errands.

To force to do menial jobs for the seniors.

To ask/answer vulgar questions.

To force look at pornographic pictures to shock the fresher’s out of their innocence.

To force to drink alcohol, scalding tea, smoking, etc.

To force to do acts which can lead to physical injury/ mental torture or death.

To force to do acts with sexual overtones, including homosexual acts.

Punitive Measures for Raggin-

Cancellation of admission.

Suspension from attending classes.

Debarring from any test/examination or any other evaluation process.

Collective punishment when the individuals committing or abetting ragging are not identified.

Cancellation of admission.

Rigorous imprisonment and fine as per law.

ACADEMIC COMMITTEE

Takes decision pertaining to the number of working hours/teaching days according to the activity calendar. Decides the distribution of syllabus according to the number of working hours available. Decides the work load of different faculty members according to the departmental list. Conducts various academic activities.

COLLEGE ADMISSION AND WEBSITE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE

To efficiently manage the college admission and maintain the College Website Functions: The committee will formulate and execute the admission criteria ensure filling up seats.

Responsible for the whole admission process viz. counseling of prospective students, Preparation and display of merit lists, form checking, section allotment etc.

Screening of applicants for admission to various courses.
Send admission report to University & Govt. Periodically update the information posted on the website.

YOUTH WEEK

A Strong Youth A Strong Nation.

India is the country which is full of diversity. To keep youngsters attached with diversity cultural activities are organized in Rawat PG Girls College. They express their talent as poet, dancer, artist and performers. These activities are helped to develop various talents of students.

Healthy competition is the part of youth week which develop confident among students. During this week intercollegiate contents are also organized. All arrangements are done by students only under the guidance of lecturers. Traditional dances are also performed during this week as Groomer Garba. etc. Which reflect the glimpse of colourful India.

Youth week's vision is : 'A country where young people are vibrant and optimistic through being supported and encouraged to take up challenges. 'Youth week aims to create a society that values young people and affirms their diversity. The week highlights the amazing things young people do all year. The youth week is celebrated at Rawat PG Girls Colleges every year under which various academic competitions are held all the position holders including those who bogged second and third positions receive prizes.

INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL (IQAC)

Development and application of quality benchmarks/ parameters for the various academic activities of the college. Encouraging the faculty members to attend conferences /seminar/symposium/workshops etc. Conduction of Guest lectures. Organization of seminars, workshops.

Collection of feedback responses from students, parents, visitors, expert members, regarding quality related issues and processes.

Documentation of the various programmes, activities of the college, leading to quality improvement. Ensure enhancement and integration among the various activities of the college. Act as a dynamic for quality changes in the college.

THE GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL CELL

The Grievance Redressal Cell has been constituted to redress the grievances of students and to realize the primary needs of the students. The Grievance Redressal Cell holds meetings periodically, and takes steps to redress the grievances. The cell functions for the benefit of both the faculty and the students. Various grievances reported and addressed are:-

Examination forms& Scholarship.

Personal hygiene regarding wash rooms & general hygiene.

Classroom management.

ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION

Annual Day is the glimpse of all activities done throughout the year. It is the day to award talents of the year, it is the day of performers and it is the day of recalling all memories of the year through a cultural programmes.

This day is celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm most of the students participate in the function.

Annual Function is celebrated by this college for completing a successful year. Students showcase their talents through amazing performances in various fields such as folk and western dance, group and solo song presentations, laughter show, kawwali, one-act play etc. Spectators enjoyed every single performance and encouraged the best ones.

PLACEMENT CELL:

Rawat Co-Ed. College believes in creative job generator then job seekers for that it provide better job facilities and career guidance by specialist. Placement cell is set up to provide students a right direction.

The placement cell of Rawat Co-Ed. College has taken upon itself the onerous yet fulfilling task of assisting the students battering their career prospect by providing them need based and result, oriented training programs that help them achieve their need. This process is engaged through modern training facilities and innovative methodology which work of satisfying the objective of providing career guidance to students, co-ordination with prospective external agencies / industries / companies and suitably enriching the experience on both sides.
